Hello dear listeners!
We are thrilled to welcome back James Shipp and Nadje Noordhuis, and to introduce the incredible Maeve Gilchrist in a Parlor Series debut of this trio!
Shipp/Noorduis Duo, featuring Maeve Gilchrist – Celtic Harp
“The air cools, the leaves turn, the evening extends its influence into the afternoon. This time of year seems built for reflection and introspection; collars are up, windows are shut, meals are hotter and longer in the pot. Come join three artists as they join forces to explore these feelings in the season when we in the Northeast remember the old countries in flavors, scents and songs. Having worked together in many different settings, this will be the group’s debut as a trio, and together they will explore original compositions, traditional folk music, and well-loved old songs, delivered with the lush sounds of shimmering brass, earthy percussion, ringing vibraphone, endlessly warm electronics, and the undeniable harp and singing of Maeve Gilchrist.”
